This flat slab is called table-stone or ‘capstone’ usually these slabs are 20 cm to 40 cm thick and most of them are rectangular in shape. The rest two are almost squares, one is roundish, one is elliptical and one is irregular in shape. Almost behind each dolmen has a big erect stone called Menhir. It is usually in height from 4m to 5m. But a few of them stand as high as 6 to 7 m. they are 40 cm to 1m wide and 10 to 30 cm thick and in most cases their cross-section is oblong. Every menhir gradually narrows towards a flat top. Finally it should mention that our glorious culture and heritage need extar care and protection for our future genarations.
